Stung by the poor performance of students in SSLC
examinations, the department of public instruction has decided to crack the
whip.
Official said: “In each school, we have asked students to
adopt teachers of their interest. Based on our calculations, each teacher will
monitor the progress of six or seven students in their studies. In January,
teachers have to give wake-up calls to their students and wards' parents to see
if the students are up and with their books.“
After the dismal performance, the DDPI has held meetings
with parents to make them understand the gravity of the situation. “Also, since
students from class IX will be pushed to class X even if they fail, we will
monitor students who have performed badly and these teachers will give “special
attention and tuitions”.
“They will make the students exam-ready and rid them of any
exam-related fear or anxiety,'' he said.

students if the take drastic measures the students misunderstood and decide
