Good Morning Jaggubhai! And a very Good Morning to my fellow fools too!
Jaggubhai ko electricity board ne fool banaya to Jaggubhai ne hamse badla le liya!
Isiko to kehte hain - Rob Peter to pay Paul!
good morning ~ to the fooler and the fooled!!
good mrng rmbhai and uma...
i got power just now... :)
happy ALL fools day.. :D
genius...Do you remember that song..."I got the power!" lol!
rm...finally caught educomp at levels worth messing with 2159
Uma:
Wishing you the best for your Educomp enterprise! Meanwhile I am messing with Mini-nifty on intraday basis! A very good tool for uncapitalized traders. ;)
rm: the 'un' will be history soon
Thanks Teacher!
I am growing long on patience!
rm: long on patience and short on nifty...methinks thats the way to go
Just one disagreement - I am long on minifty at 2779!
holy shyt rm!
What happened Uma?
oops..wheres the mkt,dudes!!!...
looks like its international(power cut) bullish conspiracy against poor jaggu :(
when ever jaggu is bullish..theres a powercut... paaji, bears ka kuch kariyo... :D
Jaggubhai:
Try giving decent quantity of laxative to the bears. That will keep them engaged in areas other than stock markets!
yeah,rmbhai... will try tat method...LOL...
Come summers, there will be frequent power cuts here too. I solved the problem last year as follows:
1. Disposed off my old PC
2. Bought a laptop.
3. Connected the laptop socket and Broadband modem socket to inverter.
Now a four hour power cut does not disturb me. Beyond that my laptop battery lasts for at least one hour and I have got Tata USB device for internet.
rmbhai,
its april today,no account opening charges from brokers :)
how is ur religare account doing???
i mean is it easy to operate like india info, and how abt motilal oswal?
yes ,i do have laptop(with 2 hrs battery) and ups with 20mins :(
no inverter..ans i use bsnl sada bahar(always out) dialup connections during powercuts..
Jaggubhai:
Religare is very easy to operate and order execution is instantaneous unlike India Infoline.
The shortcomings are unavailability of graphs (only nifty graph is available) and lack of information on margin availability. I have solved the graph problem by keeping 5 paisa trader terminal on and for margin requirement the best way is to use a pencil and paper!
since in south, unscheduled powercut shud have min of 6 hrs duration..
scheduled one have from 10 in mrng to 6 is evening.. i need BIG inverter...HELP HELP...
corrected, i need super extra capacity invertor of 8 to 10 hrs one,not as said.. :)
Jaggubhai:
You need the inverter for only 4 hours - the laptop battery will do the trick for the remaining market hours!
calc of margin by pen and paper..doesnt it same for all brokers with +/- 20% difference..
for eg, 5paisa has nifty margin of Rs.21,000 so..religare shud be same amt isnt it na...
Jaggubhai:
What I meant was the amount of margin I have in my account and the margin used for the day's trade.
o i c...so i will be shopping for inverter soon (may be i go for
sukam or APC one) :)
any more brands avaible, pls contribute ur ideas here...
Sukam and Luminous are very popular. I am using one locally made with Exide inverter battery. The inverter has lasted for 6 years and still going strong. The first battery lasted for 5 years!
There is another model by Genus, that is also quite good and less expensive compared to Sukam.
rm: I am also using a local brand inverter with Exide battery...so far so good....
thanx rmbhai,
genus..i heard abt tat brand...will look for it...
by the way..funny thing..watever locally made..comes forever..our first TV(local made not bpl or any branded one, but locally hand assembled one, came whopping 10 years before excahnged it for lack of more channels ...haaa haaa.
You may download the Genus catalogue at http://www.genus.in/pdf/Inverters_Home%20UPS.pdf
rm: that 'holy shyt' was a reaction to your long position!
I don't know about right or wrong...but I trust Michael Alexander. His logic seemed flawless to me and I am good with following instructions once I believe in something. I just stick with it, no matter what.
rmbhai,uma ,
i m making money after long time in opions..whoooppiiii
hmmm...big hug. I am very happy to hear that jaggu!
Uma:
I am doing intraday trade only and made some bucks today by going long.
But I am sure to loose it tomorrow so your methods are certainly superior.
thanx uma,....my profit is just Rs.100 enuf for now...
i buy nifty 3200ce at Rs.47...now down to 47 again....
naah...I am not saying who's right or who's wrong. I just found a better brain that could explain somethng to me, and I am converted
Jaggubhai:
Making a money in option when trading on India infoline is no mean achievement! They take quite a big chunk of your earnings.
Congrats on getting your money out of bear's belly!
what's there to be bullish?! lol
Uma:
Medium term we are bound to correct. So any short position with a wide stop loss and brave heart will earn money. But there could be some more upside till then.
However I am just trying to see if I can make money from the ups and down during the day.
thanx rmbhai..LOL... yeah..they take large booty from me always..mera bhi din aayega...jaggu bolega...nirmal sunega...
uma,
i m neither bullish or bearish???i just want some cake piece and lot of action...
rm: your logic is beyond me
Uma:
That is quite OK with me. I am quite irrational!
lol! that makes sense
but basically...on the one hand you're saying that market will go down and all you have to do is have a wide enough SL. and then, you yourself are going long.
I would have understood if your outlook was also bullish and your position was in line with it.
uma,
rmbhai means... mkts r overbought due for correction...till then he will ride the upside..till mkt corrects and his SL is hit..am i right rmbhai :)
All right this is my logic (please don't laugh again)
Very long term I am bullish so if I had any money I would have started investing a few months back.
Short term I am bearish.
Intraday can't be decided in advance, that decision has to be taken during the trading session.
it doesn't pay to base your position on the expectation of some random upmove. You have to believe in it...otherwise the market will trip you up...cause the market knows how to test our faith
rm: ok if it works for you!
Jaggubhai:
I take a position and the moment it comes into money I put a trailing stop-loss and keep on changing the SL till it is triggered.
I know so little about overbought and oversold and the other technicals that I am so far trading in dark. But I keep on reading about the technicals and hope that it will rub off on me!
Jaggubhai:
If you have some capital - you may have some left because you sold all your positions in Jan 2008 (!) - I suggest that you opt for Religare for option trading.
The brokerage plans they offer are very attractive:
Deposit 1,00,000 delivery .1% intraday/future .005% option 25 per lot
Deposit 50,000 delivery .1% intraday/future .01% option 50 per lot
Deposti 15,000 delivery .15% intraday/future .015% options 50 per lot or 1% of premium which ever is more
You could get more details at: http://www.religareonline.com/to_fees.asp
Uma:
Actually it is not working. LOL.
But what the heck I am only trying it with Mini-nifty!
thanx rmbhai,
i m still have to make up my mind on changing broker..
yeah they r quite mouth watering for me... esp...1 lakh deposit one..
i will try tat offer of theirs... :D thanx once again for ur help :)
Uma:
There is this wonderful quote (stolen from the blog "Just Nifty") which confirms what you say:
Jesse Livermore:-
"The reason is that a man may see straight and clearly and yet become impatient or doubtful when the market takes its time about doing as he figured it must do. That is why so many men in Wall Street, who are not at all in the sucker class, not even in the third grade, nevertheless lose money. The market does not beat them. They beat themselves, because though they have brains they cannot sit tight."
Regret to say that Jesse Livermore was bankrupted by the stock markets or - using the above quote - he bankrupted himself!
haa haaa...wat a dialogue rmbhai...
goodnite rmbhai and uma and paaji...
rm: how true....the fact is that Jesse Livermore learned to sit tight...and he didn't realize what sitting tight does when you're wrong ;)
g'nite rm, cheema, genius!
Good Night folks! See ya tomorrow!
